Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India and has evolved over thousands of years. It combines physical postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and ethical principles to promote harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. Rooted in Sanskrit, the word "yoga" means "union" or "connection," symbolizing the integration of the individual's inner self with the greater universe.

Physically, yoga involves a series of poses (known as asanas) designed to improve strength, flexibility, and balance. These movements are often paired with controlled breathing exercises (pranayama), which help calm the nervous system and enhance mental focus. Beyond the physical, yoga encourages mindfulness and self-awareness, fostering a sense of inner peace.

Yoga's holistic approach makes it accessible to people of all ages and fitness levels, with various styles ranging from gentle and restorative to more vigorous and dynamic practices. It is not just a form of exercise but a way of life that emphasizes discipline, compassion, and self-reflection. Whether practiced for spiritual growth, stress relief, or physical health, yoga continues to inspire and transform lives worldwide.
